The view on a walk in Nidderdale

Nidderdale AONB offers fantastic opportunities for guests wanting to walk and explore the Dale. There are hundreds of miles of footpaths and bridleways throughout the dale with fantastic scenery and views. Covill Cottages sit on the side of the Nidderdale Way- a 54 mile long distance trail that most walkers do over 4 days. Click the link below to see some of our favourite walks. Brimham Rocks in Nidderdale

There are many other activities and visitor attractions to enjoy locally. Ranging from horse riding to fishing or birdwatching. For the more adventurous visit How Stean Gorge and go abseiling or gorge running. For something a little different book a visit to Nidderdale Llamas and take one for a walk. Pateley Bridge High Street- Nidderdales market town

In the centre of Nidderdale this idyllic market town stretches up the hillside. Pateley Bridge has an idyllic and award-winning high street that looks as though it was designed with postcards in mind. Here you will find locally produced food and drink, gifts and keepsakes as well as traditional Yorkshire hospitality in cafes, pubs and tearooms. Visit The Nidderdale Museum to learn about some of the history of dales life as it once was. Alternatively there area number of small artist galleries and workshops in the town where you can view the artists at work

Dark clouds

Take a look at our selections of indoor activities locally if the weather is unkind. The choices are diverse and range from historic houses, brewery and distillery tours to a tour of Stump Cross Caverns. If you are feeling more energetic take a swim at the local pool or exercise in the gym.
